Cheers and Jeers for Oct. 18

Cheers to the Estevan Farmers’ Market Association for another good year of sales at the Estevan Shoppers Mall, even though the weather didn’t co-operate in the final few weeks.

Cheers to the Estevan Farmers’ Market Association for another good year of sales at the Estevan Shoppers Mall, even though the weather didn’t co-operate in the final few weeks.

Cheers to everybody who was involved with the atom hockey draft last week. The kids had a lot of fun and it helped build excitement for the start of the season.

Cheers to the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course for creating a memorial wall, and paying tribute to those who have made big contributions to the sport in Estevan.

Cheers to the Estevan Arts Council for bringing the Jeffery Straker and Friends Tour to the city last week. It’s always fun to hear talented Saskatchewan musicians.

Cheers to those at the Stoughton Central School who once again raised the Pride Flag, and showed they wouldn’t back down in the face of intolerance.

Jeers to people who have put up Christmas decorations in October. Wait until the day after Remembrance Day, so as to honour our veterans.

Jeers to those who feel the need to pass on the highway despite a solid yellow line. Don’t put other people’s safety at risk.

Jeers to those who continue to run red lights. It’s even worse when they blow through an intersection well after the light turned red, and showed no intent of stopping to begin with

Jeers to the number of stray cats that we’ve seen in the city this year. It’s frustrating that people have been negligent, which has led to this problem.
