Trail Ride and Wagon Trek participants left the camp at the former Roche Percee ball diamonds Friday afternoon. About 30 people joined the ride on the first day of the event. They have three days of horseback riding or wagon trekking ahead. At the end of each day, they will come back to the camp for a potluck supper and maybe some karaoke in the evening. Organizers hope to see more participants joining them over the weekend. The ride will depart at 9 a.m. on Saturday and at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. Next week’s edition of the Mercury will have more on the event.
