OTS Oilwomen’s Golf Tournament is ongoing at the Estevan Woodlawn Course. This year the annual event attracted 118 participants with a lot of returning players and a few new ones. They teed off at 10:30 a.m. and will be playing until about 3:30 p.m., having fun and enjoying a beautiful day with great company. The tournament has been running since 1998. It is aimed at women whose primary occupation or source of income is, or was in case of retirement, in the exploration, drilling, service, or production oil industry. It encourages women working in the industry to get out, enjoy a day of golf and relaxation and network at the same time. Next week’s edition of the Mercury will have more on the event.
