The Atom Tier I Bruins hockey team have been working hard but hadn’t seen the results until recently, but they won and tied on the weekend for their first win of the season.

The Bruins (1-13-1) won 6-4 over the Weyburn Wings (2-7-3) Friday and tied Yorkton (7-5-3) 6-6 at home Sunday in Southeast Minor Hockey League action over the weekend.

Six different goalscorers hit the scoresheet Sunday. Carter Hirsch, Hudson Hirkala and Conrad Hase each scored a goal and an assist, while Graidan Irwan had two assists.

The Bruins’ next league action is Jan. 28 in Weyburn.
