Nick Sereggela is the winner of the Estevan Bruins Mega 50-50 Draw.
The club made the announcement Tuesday afternoon. They have been selling tickets for the fundraiser since the start of July.
Sereggela will take home $7,940, which is half of the value of the tickets sold.
He’s a long-time supporter of the club and the community who served as the club’s head coach and general manager from the summer of 1999 to December 2001, as was an assistant coach for the Bruins when they won the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League title in 1999.
The Bruins have yet to announce when the 2020-21 season will begin. In a video, Danny Ewen, the club’s director of marketing and operations, said players will start arriving in the city for practices next week, and they hope to begin the season as early as Oct. 9.
Ewen also thanked those who have purchased season tickets for the upcoming season.
