Bruins drop second in a row to Terriers

The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins are going to see another team in their next game and it couldn't come at a better time. The Yorkton Terriers have beaten the Bruins twice in a row away from Affinity Place, including a 8-4 win Tuesday at Yorkton.

The Yorkton Terriers have beaten the Bruins twice in a row away from Affinity Place, including a 8-4 win Tuesday at Yorkton.The game came a few days after the Terriers won 4-2 over the Bruins in Canora. 

Tuesday, the Terriers jumped out to a 4-2 lead after the first period despite Kolton Leslie and Johnny Witzke scoring for the Bruins. That was the end of the night for starting goaltender Jake Anthony in the Bruins net as he made way for Grant Boldt. Boldt went the rest of the way, allowing three more goals in the game.

Bryce Platt scored a pair of goals in the second period but the Terriers scored a pair of their own.  

Anthony and Boldt stopped a combined 31 shots in the Bruins net. The Terriers added an empty net goal with 56 seconds to go in the third period. 

The loss means the Terriers have retaken the lead in the Viterra Division standings.
