The Estevan Bruins opened a four games in five nights road trip Tuesday night with a 4-1 victory over the Kindersley Klippers.

The game was scoreless after the first period, but then the Bruins scored three times in a 2:08 span of the second. Isaiah Thomas tallied on a two-on-one to open the scoring midway through the frame, and then doubled the lead with a breakaway goal about a minute later.

Eddie Gallagher ended the offensive barrage with a goal off of another two-on-one shortly after Thomas’ second goal.

The third period was scoreless until late in the frame, when CJ Corazzin scored into an empty net.

Brendon Borbely’s goal for Kindersley less than a minute later spoiled the shutout bid for Bruin goaltender Keenan Rancier.

Rancier finished with 40 saves on the night.

The Bruins (8-10-2-1) will be back on the ice Wednesday night when they visit the Humboldt Broncos.
