Is hockey a winter game? The Estevan Bruins wouldn’t agree.
Their third annual Kids Summer Camp that took place this week cooled the Affinity Place right down and brought hockey back to the Energy City.
While peewee, atom and novice/initiation divisions players were working on their skating skills, their parents and centre visitors were enjoying their time watching game elements.
Young Bruins were spending days on and off the ice with head coach/GM Chris Lewgood, associate coach Jeff Smith and trainer/strength coach Dylan Lafrentz.
Children got to try various on-ice drills and activities, and also did some dry-land exercise and video training learning how to become a better all-around team player.
