McMillen saluted for community contributions

A member of the Estevan Bruins has been recognized for his involvement in the community.

Defenceman Kade McMillen, who hails from Carievale, was presented with the RBC Community Ambassador Award during a ceremony prior to Friday night’s game against the Notre Dame Hounds.

McMillen has been involved with the club in many ways during his nearly two-year tenure with the team, ranging from community events to school visits to greeting the Seventh Player who skates onto the ice with the Bruins before each game.

RBC presented McMillen with a cheque for $1,000, which he can direct to an organizing of his choosing. He selected Carievale School
