Penta Completions Estevan Minor Football has announced that Football Day in Estevan games have been postponed due to the weather.
The games were scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning with an under-10 jamboree, featuring teams from Estevan, Weyburn, Moosomin and Moose Jaw playing mini-games. But Moose Jaw and Moosomin said Saturday they wouldn’t be able to make it for the jamboree due to the weather, and a decision was made Sunday to postpone the Estevan-Weyburn games.
A make-up date for the jamboree in Estevan hasn’t been announced. Moosomin’s jamboree is next weekend.
The other two games slated for Football Day on Sunday have been rescheduled. The U12 Century 21 Chargers game versus the Assiniboia Rockets has been pushed back to Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.
The U14 Lions Club Oilers contest versus the Assiniboia Rockets will now be played Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.
Both of those games will still be played at Woodlawn Athletic Park.
