Gedak finishes in second at MJT stop

Estevan’s Chase Gedak had a great first round at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf tour stop in North Battleford last week and rode that to a second place finish in the juvenile boys division.

Estevan’s Chase Gedak had a great first round at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf tour stop in North Battleford last week and rode that to a second place finish in  the juvenile boys division.

The MJT Golf Saskatchewan Order of Merit Series stop has Gedak’s 79-87-166 finish five shots behind winner Colby Friedrich, playing at his home North Battleford course.  While other Estevan golfers have played on the tour this year, Gedak was the only TS&M Woodlawn golfer in the tournament.

With 600 points in the juvenile boys division, Gedak trails Josh Nagy by 210 points and Cole Nagy by 30 points in third place overall in the overall OOM standings. Jace Carlisle has 562.50 points in the standings and is in fourth place. 

The next OOM event will be June 30-July 1 at Sasatoon’s Moon Lake Golf and Country Club.
