The South East midget AA Goldwings have forced a third and deciding game in their Saskatchewan Female Hockey League South Division final against the Regina Rebels.

The Goldwings scored five times in the third period to defeat the Regina Rebels 6-1 in Regina on Wednesday night.

After a scoreless first period, Bailey Farr tallied 85 seconds into the middle frame to give the Goldwings a 1-0 lead. The Rebels tied the game with a little more than seven minutes to play in the second.

Cammi Mytopher scored 55 seconds into the third to give the Goldwings a 2-1 lead, and Marci LeBlanc’s goal just over a minute later doubled the advantage. Jordan Meyers’ marker a few minutes later padded the lead.

Goals by LeBlanc and Khloe Bedore in the final nine minutes rounded out the scoring.

Taryn McKinney was in goal for the Goldwings.

Game 3 will be played at 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in Midale. The winner will face either the Saskatoon Comet Legends or the Saskatoon Comet Impact in the league final.

The Rebels took Game 1 in the South Final 5-3 on Friday night in Midale.
