Success greeted novice hockey players from Estevan with their win at the Minot Mite Classic tournament last weekend.

The team went through the round robin losing only one game until the semifinal. There they beat Moosomin 11-1 before playing the Minot Black home team in the final – the same team they lost to in the round robin. The Bruins tied the game with nine seconds on the clock and then in overtime to take the tournament.

Estevan will host a novice tournament this weekend at Affinity Place and the Power Dodge Ice Centre.
