Peewee Bruins split in Moose Jaw

The Estevan Meter peewee AA Bruins took a split out of a pair of weekend games in the Friendly City. They won 8-5 in Moose Jaw against the Warriors Saturday and lost 9-1 the following day in Saskatchewan Peewee AA Hockey League action.

The Estevan Meter peewee AA Bruins took a split out of a pair of weekend games in the Friendly City.

They won 8-5 in Moose Jaw against the Warriors Saturday and lost 9-1 the following day in Saskatchewan Peewee AA Hockey League action.

Carter Onrait let the way Saturday with a hat trick, while Jayden Kuchinka and Chase Foord each picked up a goal and an assist. Logan Lang, Carter Baily, and Mathias Fornwald each scored a goal in the game, and Ty Fehrenbach got the start and the win in net.

Sunday, things fell apart on the Bruins early in a six-goal first period. Kade Phillips scored the Bruins’ only goal, assisted by Baily.

Estevan will be hosting a peewee AA tournament on the weekend, Oct. 19-21. It’ll be the Bruins’ only action at Affinity Place until their home opener Nov. 18, although they will play a home game against Weyburn in Carlyle Nov. 3.
