Saskitas enjoy successful water polo weekend

The Saskitas travelled to Winnipeg this past weekend for another round of play in the 14U National Championship League division. This young group of girls did an amazing job and came away with the following standings:

They opened the weekend with an 8-3 win against Team Manitoba and followed that with an 11-1 loss to Regina.

The final game of the weekend, they beat Team Manitoba 11-8. This final game was intense right down to the last period.  At half time the Saskitas were down 6-3, but the girls came back and tightened up their defense and ended up winning.

The Estevan Sharks had Sadie Smith, Tayla Gervais, Lily Knoll, Emily Sauder and Jordyn Tarnes on the Saskitas.

The Saskitas have one more game in the 14U NCL division where they will travel to Regina this weekend to take on the Regina Armada team. Although this team will not qualify for the NCL Western finals their coaches feel they have a lot of potential and are coaches are looking forward to watching this group of girls develop over the next few years.
