Estevan’s Aaron Turnbull outlasted the competition to win a prestigious race in North Dakota on Saturday night.

Turnbull won the John Seitz Memorial Championship race, a 92-lap feature that had a top prize of $9,200, at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. It took 55 minutes and 43 seconds to complete the race.

Turnbull finished a little more than a second ahead of A.J. Diemel of Elk Mound, Wisc. Don Shaw of Ham Lake, Minn., was third.

This marked the first time that Turnbull has won the race.
