Auriel Bill has earned another distinction in her U.S. collegiate water polo career.

Bill, who hails from Estevan, is in her senior year with the Cal State East Bay Pioneers water polo program. She garnered Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches First-Team All-American accolades, along with junior Adrien Van Dyke and sophomore Daniela Passoni, while junior Payton Bosque earned All-American honorable mention.

Bill and Passoni were named to the All-Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) First-Team, while Van Dyke earned All-WWPA Second-Team honors and Bosque received All-WWPA Honorable Mention.

The Pioneers are the only Division II program in the U.S. to have three first-team All-Americans.

Bill becomes a four-time All-America First-Team selection, leading the Pioneers with 42 goals, 21 assists and 63 total points this past season, which was halted just before the midway point because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She also matched a team-high with 19 steals, while her 19 drawn exclusions were third-most on the team.

The senior scored a career-high eight goals in a road victory over Fresno Pacific on Feb. 15, and also recorded four goals, two assists and three steals in a season-opening win Jan. 25.

Bill is just a couple of assists shy of the Pioneers all-time record.

She, and all athletes in NCAA spring sports, have been granted an extra year of eligibility due to COVID-19.
