The largest recreation hockey tournament in the province will wrap up Sunday with the playoffs for some divisions, and the final round-robin games in other divisions.

The Estevan Strippers Molson Spring Bust tournament will have games at Affinity Place, the Power Dodge Ice Centre and the Bienfait Memorial Arena. The first games will be at 9 a.m., and games are scheduled to start every 90 minutes afterwards. The final games will be at 6 p.m.

There won’t be a game in Bienfait at 6 p.m.

Forty teams are entered in the tournament’s 10 divisions.

Five of the divisions will use a round robin to decide the champions. Two of them are for women’s teams: the Coldwell Banker Division – Terry Germain and the Certified Energy Services Division.

The other three are for men’s teams: the Ray Frehlick Division, the Bill Dutton and the Murray GM Division.

Five divisions will be decided through a playoff: the Preston Meyer Memorial Division, the Westmoreland Coal Division, the Einar/Rod Fagerheim Memorial Division, the Days Inn Division and the Tap House Division.

The tournament also had cabarets Friday and Saturday night that attracted large crowds to the Power Dodge Curling Centre. Those cabarets help the Strippers raise thousands of dollars for local organizations.

The curling centre will be the site of a social area Sunday.

The Mercury will have full results from the tournament on Monday.
