The Estevan Tap House Wolves are the only undefeated team remaining in the Saskota Baseball League.
The Wolves defeated the Carlyle Cardinals 15-10 Friday night at Lynn Prime Park in Estevan. The Wolves (5-0-1) handed the Cardinals (6-1-1) their first loss of the season, which started in early July.
Carlyle has enjoyed dominant pitching for most of the season, as they had a stretch of four straight shutouts snapped Thursday night against the Kenosee Cubs.
The Wolves, meanwhile, have won four straight after a tie against Redvers early in the season.
Estevan will play a doubleheader against their cross-town rivals, the Southeast Fireballs, on Sunday. The first game will be at Lingelbach Field at Mets Stadium at noon, and the second will be at Lynn Prime Park at 3 p.m.
Carlyle is listed as first in the overall standings, even though the Wolves are still undefeated, and the Wolves have a better points percentage (.917 for the Wolves, .812 for the Cardinals).
The Carnduff Astros (6-2) sit third, followed by the Cubs (4-3-1), the Kipling Royals (3-4), the Oxbow Chiefs (3-5), the A’s (2-4-1), the Fireballs (1-4-1) and the Arcola Theshers (0-7-1).
