The field for the 2018 Home Hardware Canada Cup coming next month to Estevan has now officially been set in stone.

Regina’s Matt Dunstone, who threw fourth stones for the Steve Laycock rink that won the 2018 SaskTel Men’s Tankard at Affinity Place, won the last spot to qualify for the Dec. 5-9 Canada Cup.

Seven men’s teams and eight women’s teams are attempting to earn cash and points as the road to the 2022 Olympic qualifying, beginning on Estevan’s Affinity Place ice. There is $140,000 cash available for the teams.

Dunstone, who is now skipping his own team this year, qualified in the men’s division along with Winnipeg’s Alli Flaxey in the women’s division, by being the top previously non-qualified teams in the Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS) as of Nov. 11.

Dunstone is curling this year with third Braeden Moskowy, second Catlin Schnieder and lead Dustin Kidby.

The men’s teams already in the field are Brad Gushue, Brendan Bottcher, Brad Jacobs, Kevin Koe, Reid Carruthers and John Epping.

Flaxey, has a team that includes third Kate Cameron, second Taylor McDonald and lead Raunora Westcott. The women’s teams that have already booked their tickets for Estevan are Rachel Homan, Laura Walker, Chelsea Carey, Casey Scheidegger, Kerri Einarson and Darcy Robertson.

Tickets are available through curling.ca/tickets or calling 1-833-219-9444. They are available for single draws, day passes or for the whole tournament.
