Motocross season wraps up in Estevan

The South Corner Racing Circuit wrapped up its 2019 season with a race program Saturday afternoon at the Trackside Motocross Association’s facility in Estevan.

The South Corner Racing Circuit wrapped up its 2019 season with a race program Saturday afternoon at the Trackside Motocross Association’s facility in Estevan.

Two different races were held in each division during the day, with riders earning points based on their finish in each race. They could get up to 25 points for a win in each race.

Among the local riders, in the A class, Travis King was first, JJ Barnstable was fourth, Bryce Friees was seventh, Cole Hagel was eighth, Connor Barnstable was ninth and Randy Franke was 10th.

King also won the two-stroke class, with Randy Franke in third, and the youth class, with JJ Barnstable third, Cole Hagel fourth and Kayden Hjorteland fifth.

In the B class, Cole Barnstable was first and Cain Kruger was third. Dallas Fonstad was eighth in the C class.

Kaitlyn Alexander was first in the women’s division.

In the vet class, Bryce Friess was first, Randy Franke was fifth, Blair Fonstad was seventh and Dallas Fonstad was 12th.

In the 65cc class, Deegan Lemoine was third and Kaitlyn Alexander was fourth. Caden Fonstad was 13th in 85 cc.

The program also wrapped up the 2019 season for the South Corner Racing Circuit. The series featured two programs in Alameda and Estevan this year, and single race dates in Weyburn and Carlyle.

A second program in Carlyle was rained out.
