The Oxbow Chiefs maintain their first palce standing after a few games, including a 24-18 slugfest at home to the Carlyle Cardinals Tuesday night. They had also won 8-2 last Thursday in Arcola over the Threshers.

The defending league champion Estevan Tower Wolves had a pair of road wins Sunday in two different towns. They defeated the Windthorst Pirates 9-2 in Windthorst and packed up their equipment to defeat the Kipling Royals 9-2 in Kipling later that day. Earlier last week they knocked off the Southeast Fireballs 16-0 at Mets Field.

No score was reported from the game in Carlyle Sunday between the Cardinals and the Arcola Threshers.

Arcola, meanwhile, won 10-2 last Friday over the Redvers As and had another score go unreported at home against the Kenosee Cubs Tuesday.

This will be another busy week in the league with a game in Kenosee between the Fireballs and the Cubs Sunday at 4 p.m., and a Monday tilt in Carlyle between the host Cardinals and Windthorst. There are three games Tuesday with Kipling at Carnduff, Oxbow at Redvers and the Tower Wolves at Arcola.
