The significant amount of precipitation that Estevan has received late Thursday and much of Friday, along with strong winds, has forced the Estevan Motor Speedway to call off Friday’s program.

Instead, it will host a weekend double-header, with Saturday’s race starting at 7 p.m. and Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday’s race program was always on the schedule, but Sunday’s race has been added to the schedule in place of Friday’s program.

“The weather is going to be fantastic for Saturday and Sunday,” the speedway said in a Facebook post.

For people who have purchased advance tickets for either night, the speedway says they have nothing to worry about. Both High Energy Performance and Murray GM will still be selling tickets for both nights. Also remember that they have lots of room in paid parking.

There will be a quick work bee Saturday at 10 a.m. They are installing emergency lights and cleaning up the grounds.
