Members of the Estevan Taekwon-do Club received black belts recently.
James Kim and Darson Gunnlaugson tested with taekwon-do master Vito Palella on June 2 to receive their black belts.
All of the club’s senior instructors tested during the weekend as well. Wayne Brown, Don Dechief and Warren Morrical have attained sixth-degree black belt, while Trinda Jocelyn earned her third-degree black belt and also tested with Palella over the weekend.
Palella also held a seminar with students on June 2, giving them an opportunity to train with a master for the first time. The club learned a great deal from him and looks forward to putting that knowledge to good use.
A testing day was held on May 26 and resulted in a variety of new belt colours for members this fall.
