Update: Big Six final postponed

The final of the Big Six Hockey League has been postponed. The announcement comes after Hockey Canada said Thursday that all of its sanctioned play was on hold.

The announcement comes after Hockey Canada said Thursday that all of its sanctioned play was on hold. 

The top two teams in the Big Six Hockey League during the regular season, the Redvers Rockets and the Carnduff Red Devils.

The top-seeded Rockets reached the final by defeating the Bienfait Coalers in a best-of-five semifinal series in five games, while the Red Devils needed four games to dispatch of the 2019 champions, the Yellow Grass Wheat Kings.

Both teams were also still in provincial play. Those series have also been postponed. Carnduff was facing Grenfell in the Senior B south final. Grenfell took Game 1 5-1 on March 7. Game 2 was slated for March 14 in Carnduff, and Game 3, if necessary, would have been the next day, also in Carnduff.

Redvers was facing Foam Lake in the Senior C south final. Foam Lake took Game 1 March 8 6-4. Game 2 was to be March 14 in Redvers and Game 3, if necessary, would have happened March 15, also in Redvers.
