Austin Dobrescu's weekend to remember at the Frametech Classic at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course continues.

Dobrescu, who tied the course record with a 63 in the opening round Saturday, and has an eight-stroke lead following the second round Sunday, went out and won the Dave Price Memorial Horse Race Sunday afternoon.

The horse race features the 12 golfers who are in the championship flight of the Frametech Classic event at Woodlawn. The horse race is held on the back nine at Woodlawn, with the golfer(s) who have the highest score knocked out from each hole.

Dobrescu eliminated Ty Mryglod on the 18th hole to win. Mryglod put his approach shot into the water, while Dobrescu's second shot landed just to the edge of the green. Mryglod eventually conceeded.

Dobrescu set the tone for the competition when he chipped in for a birdie on the opening hole.

The other golfers in the horse race were Jayden Dudas, Drew Jones, Theoren West, Carson Harcourt, Daryl Donovan, Lonnie Jones, Jace Carlisle, Mark Spencer, Carter Hilkewich and Chase Gedak.

The 12 golfers were divided into three groups of four, instead of the traditional group of 12. The field will eventually be reduced to two groups and then to one.

Spectators were not able to gather to watch the horse race, but there was a live stream presented by Woodlawn, the Cheap Seats podcast and Robert Godfrey. Members of the Cheap Seats provided commentary.
