Oxbow's Tanner Jeannot scores first NHL goal

Tanner Jeannot scored his first career NHL goal Tuesday night in the Nashville Predators 7-2 victory over the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Tanner Jeannot scored his first career NHL goal Tuesday night in the Nashville Predators 7-2 victory over the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Jeannot, who hails from Oxbow, scored on a wrist shot with 5:26 to play in the third period to give the Predators a 6-2 lead at that point in the game.

He was in his third career NHL game for Nashville.

Jeannot played his minor hockey in Oxbow and Estevan before moving onto play U18 hockey in Yorkton and junior hockey in Moose Jaw. He is in his third season with the Predators' organization.

He had 10 goals and 21 points in 13 games with the Predators' American Hockey League affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, this season.
