Elecs wrap up appearance at Hoopla

The Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs senior boys basketball team wrapped up their first appearance at the Hoopla provincial basketball tournament in 25 years Saturday.

The Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs senior boys basketball team wrapped up their first appearance at the Hoopla provincial basketball tournament in 25 years Saturday.

Competing in the 5A division, Estevan lost 89-75 to Regina Luther in the consolation final.

The Elecs went 1-2 at Hoopla, as they opened with a 75-59 loss to Saskatoon St. Joseph, but recovered to defeat Saskatoon Walter Murray Collegiate 74-55.

The 5A division is for schools in Saskatoon and Regina, and larger rural communities.

Hoopla wraps up Saturday in Saskatoon.
