High school provincials from 1A to 4A senior boys volleyball took place over the weekend, with a few schools in the southeast taking to the courts.

That included Oxbow and Carnduff, who co-hosted the 3A provincials.

Carnduff won their half of the round robin, going 4-0 in their group that included Moose Jaw Cornerstone, Island Lake, Hepburn and Ile-a-la-Crosse. They were stunned in the first playoff game by a 2-1 loss to Waldheim and were knocked out of the tournament.

Oxbow went 2-2 in their round robin, beating Waldheim and Langenburg but dropping games to Birch Hills and Kipling en route to finishing in third place. They lost to Moose Jaw Cornerstone in their first playoff game.

Birch Hills ended up winning the 3A provincial boys title.

In the 1A division, Arcola went 1-3 in the round robin, and although they were in a three-way tie for third place in records, the tiebreaker meant they finished in fifth place and were knocked out of the playoffs.
